Small sandy cove between Ramsgate and Broadstairs. East-facing, with a beach kiosk, toilets and Broadstairs' cafés nearby.

What the tide does here

At a spring high tide about 48% of Dumpton Gap is out of the water. By spring low the sea has drawn back roughly 140 metres, uncovering 92% of it — about 42 hectares of sand.

Dogs

Dogs are welcome on the beach at any time, all year. The council asks for dogs to be kept on a lead on the promenade.
