Long, remote sandy beach at Lydd-on-Sea, on the edge of the Dungeness shingle foreland. Little on it beyond a car park set back from the shore.

At a spring high tide only about 17% of Lydd-on-Sea Beach is out of the water. By spring low the sea has drawn back roughly 860 metres, uncovering all of it — about 402 hectares of sand.
