At a spring high tide only about 37% of Palm Bay is out of the water. By spring low the sea has drawn back roughly 240 metres, uncovering 92% of it — about 87 hectares of sand.

Dogs

Dogs are welcome on the beach at any time, all year. The council asks for dogs to be kept on a lead on the promenade.

This beach is not a designated bathing water, so the Environment Agency does not sample it.
